event-rpc-perl software package provides dummy package to install libevent-rpc-perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install event-rpc-perl
event-rpc-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the event-rpc-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep event-rpc-perl *
You will get with event-rpc-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
